Between 1720 and 1850 the countryside of Galloway, was transformed. Peter Norman’s presentation at February meeting described and illustrated the features found on over 50 fermtouns that survive. This research enabled him to piece together a little about the lives of the people who lived and worked in these small rural settlements. His talk can now be found on Youttube on this link
