The Platinum Jubilee of Queen is being celebrated in 2022 to mark the 70th anniversary of her accession to the throne on 6 February 1952. Any memories of this occasion being marked then in Kirkcudbright should be recorded before being lost. It is important that this is not confused with the Coronation which of course was the following year, 1953, of which there will be lots of memories and souvenirs.
