The Whithorn Trust are delighted to be up and running with the Machars Waterborne project! On Wednesday 25th November 2020 they launched the project with an introductory talk from Graeme Cavers of AOC Archaeology, who discussed the Machars’ maritime links through prehistory and history, and how they will be looking to use airborne laser scanning (or LiDAR) to record the area’s fascinating archaeology.
