Following a successful funding bid Arts Inc. CIC secured funding from Creative Scotland and Awards4All to roll out ”Roon the Toon”. The project aimed to provide a worthwhile and enjoyable block of art workshops delivered in partnership with Community Integrated Care.
The workshops provided a platform for the residents of Merse House to design and produce a board game using imagery of the town.
They were guided through a series of art techniques and as their confidence grew discussions were generated, life recollections and memories were discussed. Historical information, knowledge about local people and buildings in the area were all topics which were covered.
