We are trying to organise some Zoom events to replace our monthly meetings. This isn’t easy as our usual presenters are a bit wary of modern technology. If you have any suggestions, please get in touch. Meanwhile, having suggested a replacement for October I now have a possible for December

More Viking Tales from the Galloway Glens!
Wednesday 2nd December, 7:30pm
Olaf and Cathbad from Cluaran – Historical Interpretation Project are back! They’ve got more Viking Tales for us, this time aimed at a slightly older audience – even more blood and battles

Also, volunteers are needed. If you are looking for something to do that gets you outside with no mask and no worries about social distancing. The Dumfries and Galloway Family History Society is looking for people to photograph the gravestones in Kirkcudbright Kirkyard. This can be done in your own time. If you are interested, in the first instance contact secretary@kirkcudbrighthistorysociety.org.uk.
