A project has just been launched to record field and place names in Borgue before they are lost. Changes in population and fewer farm workers means that descriptions of landmarks could disappear forever.
The PLACE initiative and a local group have begun work investigating and recording the development of the Parish through the ages. The aim is to map hitherto unrecorded field names across the whole peninsula between the Dee and the Fleet.
